Skills-Based Opportunities
70% of UK students in higher education are now considering skills-based learning opportunities in addition to their degree. Career Advancement: Career advancement (60%) and the desire to learn new skills (57%) are most likely to influence students to pursue a skills-based learning opportunity.
Apprenticeships
UK students are considering skills-based learning opportunities such as apprenticeships (52%), certificates (47%) and micro-credentials and badges (14%)
Strict AI Guidelines
Nearly one-third of institutions (31%) have strict guidelines, 36% only provide light guidelines on use of generative AI, and 33% provide no guidelines.
Mental Health Counselling
Institutions currently offer in-person/virtual counselling (52%), campus well-being events (51%), and mental health hotlines (47%) to support mental health and well-being.

Prior to this role, Sidh was the Vice President of International Strategy, helping the company expand into new markets alongside new products. As part of a wider commitment to education technology and improving accessibility, Sidh also sites on the European Board for 1EdTech, helping to drive greater collaboration across the sector and governments.

Melissa Loble
Melissa Loble serves as Chief Academic Officer for Instructure, where she drives the company’s global academic strategy. With extensive edtech experience as an educator in both K-12 and higher education institutions and in edtech executive leadership positions, she advocates for educators worldwide to have the necessary resources as they face ever-increasing educational barriers. Melissa currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of the education industry non-profit 1EdTech, is an instructor at the University of California, Irvine, and holds several advisory roles at other organizations.
