Improving Student Outcomes With MasteryConnect
See how MasteryConnect can support data-driven instruction and improve student outcomes.
The students can articulate and explain their ownership of where they are and where they're learning you know this is what I know and this is what I don't know. And that conversation between teacher and student has definitely changed. When we do mastery based assessments and mastery based teaching. Not only are we meeting students where they meet but we're celebrating their growth along Last year we were able to meet up at a whole grade level was solely based on the work of the teachers and the students and really remediating by the standard where the students were lacking. And the data gives us as we can then say well now I look holistically at all my classes and I can say OK twenty five four percent of my students got a five on that which means this specific skill is what they're missing. That's a game change for a teacher.
Awesome. Ok I know what to folks and I weren't sure you'd agree with. This is pretty fast. Oh son they're not a dumb kid they're just a kid who hasn't learned yet. Is there a kid that can learn and they demonstrated across stage and cross things.
It starts to be an identity change that's when things get exciting. You can document your students progress and you can say I know for a fact I'm making a difference in my students lives. We can also compare. Our classrooms. That to me is probably my favorite thing.
I hate cleaning by myself because when you have other people you know two heads is better than one. You just piggyback off of the ideas and you just develop those ideas and make it bigger. The other teachers like hey what do you do. I said well we did these hand motions or you know we did this lab or we did this activity and you know they'll share stuff with me that worked well with their kids. That way we can see our instructional strategies helping kids master their standards or do we need to go back and.
Progress. What's gonna be most beneficial for the kids. Because that's. Really the only thing that's important is the kids.
