The development of an innovative digital learning infrastructure, which includes a device for every student and a high-speed communication network, is causing a paradigm shift in the education sector. The GIGA concept is also entering its second phase. 70% of classes use devices almost daily. Our goal is to create future human resources that can use a learning compass effectively to cultivate autonomous learning, as required by OECD 2020 and guide their own learning journeys. Children and students are undergoing significant changes in their education and learning. For example, the conversion of National Academic Ability and Learning Situation Survey to CBT and the introduction of digital textbooks on a large scale, as well as the promotion of Edtech, which allows enriched educational content to be accessed anywhere and anytime via the internet, are all major developments. Teachers' work styles are being reformed with the promotion of DX in education.
In these circumstances, the 9th Kansai Education ICT Exhibition is now in preparation. We present different proposals every year for ICT use in educational settings to improve educational capabilities. Over 5,000 teachers, board members, and other stakeholders attended the 8th Kansai Education ICT Exhibition, in part because of the coronavirus's final calm. The many seminars we held and booths that were displayed were also a great success. Teachers and members of the board of education were able meet experts and learn about cutting-edge teaching materials and educational systems. Many people told us that they enjoyed hearing the story.
