Our North Carolina Customers
Higher Education Institutions
In 2015, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction helped to bring Canvas LMS to all NC K-12 public and charter schools across the state.
When Durham Tech chose Canvas, they considered its wide utilization at North Carolina high schools and University of North Carolina institutions. “Partnerships with local high schools are also increasingly important,” McPhaul said. Canvas is used in nearly all K-12 schools in NC, potentially making the transition to Durham Tech easier for high school students.”

Achieving Success By
Reaching More Adult Learners
Canvas LMS is making an impact on non-traditional learning in North Carolina. We began partnering with Project Kitty Hawk in 2023 to help expand access to higher education through online degree programs offered by the UNC System.
We are proud that Canvas LMS is being utilized to deliver a variety of learning opportunities and degree programs that meet the needs of busy working adults and are aligned with the workforce needs of North Carolina.
As the number of non-traditional students continues to grow, there is a need to translate the skills acquired in higher education into practical skills that a future employer will value. In our eBook, From Courses to Career: Readying Non-Traditional Students for the Workforce, discover how the Instructure Learning Platform prepares the non-traditional student for success.
