At Instructure, we celebrate education.
In 2020, during the height of Covid and the widespread adoption of online learning, we added what we thought to be a fun, simple feature to help give students a boost. When students would submit an assignment instead of the standard acknowledgement of completion, digital confetti would float across the screen. The confetti received an overwhelming response from students, embracing the confetti celebration of submitting their final assignments or marking key academic accomplishments. It's a little reminder that in our lives small moments can have a big impact.
Now, we’re calling these celebrations confetti moments, and we want you to share your personal educational wins—big or small—with us!
It could be submitting a final assignment. Or grading that last paper. Maybe it’s getting great feedback from a teacher. Or maybe it’s the moment when you’re learning something new and it just “clicks.”
So capture that confetti moment—record a video, snap a photo, create a GIF— and post it on social media using the hashtag #ConfettiWithCanvas. We’ll pick our favorite three posts and have the Canvas community vote for the #1 moment. The winner gets an iPad and some sweet Panda swag! We can’t wait to see you shine!
And remember—educational confetti moments are for everyone, whether you’re a student, educator, administrator, or family member. So show us what you’ve got! The more creative and purely YOU, the better!
