HyFlex Learning for the Post-pandemic Campus

Dr. Alontaga is an Associate Professor under the Educational Leadership and ManagementDepartment, College of Education at De La Salle University – Manila, handling educationaltechnology and other professional education courses for both the undergraduate and graduateprograms for the last 17 years using blended learning delivery. He also served in variouscommittees of the College, including as coordinator of the MA Educational Technology andAction Research. Currently, he is the Director of the Academic Support for InstructionalServices and Technology (ASIST) of De La Salle University – Manila in charged of trainingteachers on Online/Blended Learning and Canvas LMS course development. He earned his BSEdegree major in Computer Applications and BS Mathematics, as well as his MA SpecialEducation degree at De La Salle University, and PhD Special Education at University of thePhilippines – Diliman.

Galvin is currently an Instructor at School of Education and Learning Design, and the Director at the Ateneo SALT Institute or the Ateneo Institute for the Science and Art of Learning and Teaching.

Previously, he has also served as an Education Technology Specialist for the Basic Education Sector Transformation Program, through Cardno, Inc. where he provided technical support to the DepEd ICT Service Department, in the area of technology evaluation, integration and ICT literacy. He was also formerly the coordinator of the NExT(New Experiences with Technology) Team at Xavier School.

His work experience also includes the design of massive open online courses for professional development, and research in the area of education technology and student-centered learning in higher education.

He has an MA in Educational Administration from Ateneo De Manila University, and is currently taking his doctoral studies in the University of San Francisco. He is also an Apple Distinguished Educator and an Apple Professional Learning Consultant.
